Asahi/America expands its Asahitec PP-RCT piping system. The system, which is built for commercial applications, now includes the Type-21AT ball valve and Type-57AT butterfly valve. Using the PP-RCT system has many advantages. The pipes are 3.5 times lighter than steel pipes and the system is both safer and more economical to install.

The Type-21AT ball valve ranges in sizes from 1/2-inch up to 4-inch. It can handle pressures up to 150psi and temperatures up to 180°F. It was built with double O-ring seals on stem for added protection, as well as a built-in spanner wrench on the handle for valve assembly. In addition, it has a true union design to allow for easy installation.

The Type-57AT butterfly valve is available in water and lug styles. The lever ranges in sizes from 1 1/2-inch to 8-inch, while the gear ranges in sizes from 1 1/2-inch to 14-inch. It can handle pressures up to 100psi and temperatures up to 180°F for up to 12 inches. The full seat design eliminates the need for flange gaskets.
