Updated European Traditional Display (STEVEN COOPER)

Cooper Pacific Kitchens, West Hollywood, CA[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_images_carousel images=”7658,7659,7660,7661″ img_size=”full” autoplay=”yes”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Steven Cooper and Meredith Gullion teamed up to create a fresh interpretation of European traditional design in the Cooper Pacific Kitchens Showroom at the Pacific Design Center. Los Angeles has a shortage of luxury traditional designs, so they decided to add an opulent kitchen display to showcase the skills of the firm’s artisans. The focus was on layering textures, colors, and updated traditional elements to create a unique and sophisticated design.

As the showroom does not have access to natural light, the designers had to find a way to create an inviting atmosphere without relying on daylight. Lighting was a crucial aspect of bringing the space to life, and it was incorporated inside cabinets, under the stone shelf at the cooking wall, and in fixtures.

To balance the layers of brass and walnut with the dark gloss cabinetry, white relief was added to the structure surrounding the range. The islands feature bold Calacatta Viola marble with a white base, providing contrast to the custom cabinets’ dark tones. The perimeter includes black-honed granite and Phantom Black quartzite, as well as a 60″ Wolf Dual Fuel Range and a custom barrel hood. The backsplash tile from Artistic Tile complements the design’s overall aesthetic. The kitchen also features a Sub-Zero 36″ Column Refrigerator and 36″ Undercounter Refrigerator Drawer, a Franke KBX sink paired with a Gantry faucet from Waterstone Faucets, and an integrated Cove dishwasher within reach.

Overall, the Cooper Pacific Kitchens Showroom’s new design is a stunning blend of European traditions with updated modern elements, creating a luxurious and inviting atmosphere.

Coming Home (LAUREN TOLLES)

Maison Birmingham with KSI Kitchen & Bath, Birmingham, MI[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_images_carousel images=”7669,7668,7667,7666,7665,7664,7663″ img_size=”full” autoplay=”yes”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Lauren Tolles and Maison Birmingham recently renovated their 2,400-sq.-ft. showroom space to create a welcoming home atmosphere. This was done to incorporate KSI Kitchen & Bath’s acquisition. Instead of numerous small vignettes, there are now larger displays showcasing more features and details.

The challenge was to strike a balance between displaying enough and not overwhelming visitors. The focus was on organizing and editing products in the selection center to offer many choices without causing confusion. Hardware is displayed in drawers like jewelry, and rail-mounted custom cabinet doors are painted in different shades of white, allowing clients to focus on the door style rather than color.

Maison Birmingham’s custom offerings were blended with KSI’s more economical options in one space. This way, visitors can see that they can combine multiple product offerings and finishes in one room. It also teaches customers that they can focus on one or two custom pieces and use semi-custom options in other areas of the room.

Although an open environment was important for flow, the presentation room was designed for private conversations with clients. The inclusion of a frame-style television, which doubles as artwork, enhances presentations and adds to the ‘wow’ factor. Clients love seeing their spaces come to life on the screen.

Overall, the renovated Maison Birmingham showroom creates a comfortable and inviting space while effectively showcasing its products and services.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”7670″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]
