VICTORIA + ALBERT BATHS ANNOUNCES COLLABORATION WITH CONRAN + PARTNERS

Luxury British bathing brand, Victoria + Albert Baths is thrilled to announce a brand new bath to add to its collection, which has been created by leading British Architecture and Interior Design Studio, Conran + Partners.

The designers at Conran + Partners have applied their expertise learned through designing some of the world’s top hotels and residences to create the Eldon. The contemporary back-to-wall design is endowed with the curvaceous lines of a freestanding bath. The pipework is hidden beneath a full width tap deck, while a moulded tile upstand allows tiles to be easily installed around the rim to create a watertight seal.

Simon Kincaid, Director, Conran + Partners, said: “Being a collaborative design studio working across architecture, interior and industrial design, we have an understanding of the very large scale through to the finer details. Our Interior designers and Industrial designers worked closely together at the early design stages of this project, considering the requirements of both end users in the hotel and residential markets.”

At 1750mm long, Eldon is the perfect bath for large or small bathrooms where clean lines and day to day practicality are equally important. The Eldon is also incredibly easy to clean, making it a perfect design for the contract market and everyday households, where practicality and ease of cleaning is key.

Tim Rundle, Design Director and Industrial Designer, Conran + Partners commented: “With Eldon, we set out to create a wall mounted bath that still had the aesthetic of a freestanding bath, but could easily fit into the more compact spaces common in modern cities. We kept the overall form intentionally very simple, wrapping a crisp edge around the bath and back to the wall, creating a natural shelf, where hardware could be deck-mounted. We also created a space underneath the bath without resorting to using a plinth, allowing the Eldon to be retrofitted without disturbing existing flooring.”

The Eldon can be installed with or without an overflow and works with Victoria + Albert’s Kit 40 Intelli-waste or new Kit 60 “exofill” bath drain.
