The Uponor AquaSAFE system integrates the fire sprinkler system with a home’s cold-water plumbing to offer homeowners and builders added peace of mind, while also providing installers with a new business-building opportunity. The system uses the same flexible, durable crosslinked polyethylene (PEX-a) tubing that has been used for more than two decades in plumbing systems around the world. The flexibility of PEX tubing eliminates added required connections with each change in direction. In addition, because it can expand up to three times the tubing’s diameter, it is also highly resistant to freeze damage.
